Launched in October of 2008, this massive forum has captured the attention of one of the largest growing and most active groups on the internet, mothers.  Circle of Moms touts over 850,000 users and growing. Users can join existing groups of anywhere from 18 members to 41,000 members or create new groups and discussions. A word of caution, members should be prepared to receive hundreds to thousands of responses to a question. Who has the time?

One out of four On the Web Front critics would potentially even use this site but we can all agree that they have gained access to profiles of mothers and their children, a virtual smorgasbord for advertisers, neatly categorized among other things by location, children’s ages and their daily “pains”.

Pros:

• Huge member base established in a short timeframe
• Easy to set up a profile, join groups and view discussions

Cons:

• Comment overload. Some questions have so many answers, they seem to go on and on.
